FRESH AIR FOR REVISIONIST COMMUNITY

by Walter F. Mueller (Community News)

As I write this Patriot Letter, Dr. Claus Nordbruch should be talking with Ingrid Zundel in Tennessee. I have not met the author and freedom of speech activist before. It was the usual Internet relationship, which really means nothing. So, I was doubly curious to meet the »Herr Doktor«. I won't give a bio or background. You can read that on his website at

http://www.nordbruch.org

Dr. Claus Nordbruch is like me, half German and half Austrian, also partially growing up in Vienna. When he made the first phone call to my house that he was on the way, I was so sure he was a »Preusse«, meaning one that speaks the proper German (hochdeutsch). Because of that, I was ready to deal with an »academic with anal attitude«. Of course, I was wrong about that. After a few hours at our house, the »Herr Doktor« fell into a Viennese dialect, which immediately loosened the atmosphere. From there on, I figured very little could go wrong.

Incredible ideas and a fresh attitude towards revisionism from a former military person, turned academic. Many of our discussions centered on what could be done to revive the dying revisionist community in the U.S. We spoke of a center place, sort of a one-stop-shopping-center for everyone. Naturally, we were talking about a German powerhouse to run it. Amongst the many, Dr. Fredrick Toben, Germar Rudolf, and Dr. Nordbruch himself would be a good start.

Why Germans you might ask? Why not! The issues are all really closely related to the German people. Think about this. What does a Mark Weber or Willis Carto know about the suffering of the Germans? Most of them couldn't find it with a finger on the map.

Reading this, Dr. Claus Nordbruch would have probably said: »Stop it, Walter.« Working together seems to be one of the more emotional issues for Dr. Nordbruch. Standard was another. During breakfasts, luncheons and dinners, we were brainstorming over these issues. Can there be changes? Will the »little pond - big fish« attitude ever stop?

The »Herr Doktor« and myself agreed also that the facts of the holocaust lie are all out. Now we should find an effective way to distribute the hard work of the giants in the revisionist community to the mainstream.

Of course, Ernst Zundel was part of Dr. Nordbruchs 3-day stay. He admires Ernst Zundel as much as I do. We talked about Professor Robert Faurisson, who he admires also greatly.

We can't leave out Dr. Fredrick Toben from the Adelaide Institute, who is a personal friend of Dr. Nordbruch. He told us about the great time he had when traveling throughout Australia with Dr. Toben.

I am not sure if Dr. Nordbruch considers himself a revisionist. I believe he is. His work is just as much revisionism if not more than that of the other revisionists.

For Example, Der Deutsche Aderlass is the best of its kind, revealing the facts of Allied Atrocities. It puts all others in the corner. Not because they weren't good, but they are antiquated. Dr. Nordbruchs Der Deutsche Aderlass addresses not just the holocaust bombings, but the ethnic cleansing, the rapes, the concentration camps for German soldiers, and the torture and murder of hundreds of thousands of Germans living in Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Hungary, etc.

But it wasn't just work that was a lot of fun. We made trips to the Indian Museum, Fort Sutter, and antique stores. Hans was the driver, and Dr. Nordbruch was sitting in the back. The »child safety« became a big issue for Dr. Nordbruch. Hans always forgot to unlock it, and Dr. Nordbruch felt that he was being treated like a toddler. The Doctor and I still don't know if Hans had fun or just enjoyed the power. Just kidding.

I was also quite surprised when I saw the respect and admiration that Dr. Claus Nordbruch showed for the U.S. Native Indians. Even though himself, he is a proud Aryan, he is capable to respect and admire the achievements and culture of other races.

We had a ball in the antiques stores. For many years we have been traveling there and we never knew that one of them had six German employees. It was stunning to see that one with a military career like Dr. Nordbruch's was actually good with people. As we were buying Sodas, the lady who served was German and confided in Dr. Nordbruch.

He quickly got a hold of the haggling process in antique stores. Believe it or not, he got one item for free, the second item 40% off and the rest 10% off.

For two days, I believed I was back in Vienna, having coffee and pastry with all the Viennese charm and class.

But everything isn't charming when Dr. Nordbruch works. When he does, one better leaves him alone. It is the German precision that demands full attention. But, on the other hand, his Austrian heritage demands gemuetlichkeit and sense of humor.

As I always do with my guest, I asked Dr. Claus Nordbruch if he is a big eater or a small eater. He replied »little«. And, like all of my guests, it wasn't so. For breakfast: cheese, homemade French baguettes, cold cuts, homemade jam, and a few slices of cake.

Our last meal in the evening before his departure was bratwurst with sauerkraut and potatoes. Again, Dr. Claus Nordbruch announced that he would not eat much. And again, he ate a lot anyway. What better compliment for yours truly's cooking.

I have never told this in the Patriot Letter before, but we rescued a small puppy several months ago. It was about 8 weeks old when we found it, and I kept it, because it is just so adorable. It's a girl, and we named her Maxi. Shy, and afraid of people. The first time she saw Dr. Nordbruch, she ran away and barked. By the time he left, she acted like he was the master.

The highlight of Dr. Nordbruch's visit was the talk on Saturday afternoon. Because it was held in my backyard, I limited it to 20 people. Carefully chosen, the schickeria (cream of the crop) came to hear a fresh voice, fresh issues they had never heard. From the Bay Area, from Northern California, Sacramento county at 2:00pm. I was curious how Dr. Nordbruch would be as a speaker.

I knew that he had already won, because, you see, most of the speakers in the U.S. go on tour every year, speak every year about the same issue, and sell every year the same books.

Dr. Claus Nordbruch is the fresh air that is needing in the dusty closets of the revisionist community. The South African issue as well as Allied atrocities have become just recently a much discussed topic here in the U.S. His presentation was one of facts, emotions and pride. The crowd was utterly impressed and even the women, who are usually very quiet, raised their hands to ask questions. The horrifying pictures of the massacres of white farmers opened many eyes.

The talk was one of academia, from the one half of Dr. Nordbruch's North German heritage, and the other one of charm from his Austrian heritage. I was put in charge of the digital camera, and as a helicopter circled over our house, I yelled at Dr. Nordbruch: »They are coming for you!«

Naturally, I cannot forget to mention the delicious food of yours truly.

Now lets get to my favorite part - the books. I have already three books from Dr. Claus Nordbruch. This issue was a kind of butterfly in your stomach thing. Because all books with the exception of two, were written in German. But these butterflies in my stomach went away quickly when our classy crowd not only bought one, but up to seven books a person. Dr. Claus Nordbruch came with 150 kilo of books and sold 100 kilo (one kilo is about 2 pounds).

He also brought some t-shirts from the NPD in Germany, specially made for the rally on May 8. With the awesome design of a skeleton head in a firestorm, underneath the wagon treks of the ethnic cleansing, and in the middle the text:

1945 - wir feiern nicht (1945 - we are not celebrating)

The t-shirts sold like hot cakes and we were lucky that Dr. Nordbruch put one aside. [...] Dr. Nordbruch presented me with a gift. A book of Albrecht Duerer and his works in German.

But now comes the exciting part. Dr. Nordbruch commissioned an array of books (signed) to us for sale, which I will introduce to you over the next few days.

There may be plans of a 2006 tour, which will introduce this incredible author and activist to the American audience. For those who don't know, Dr. Claus Nordbruch is a celebrity in Germany. He enjoys a large audience of young people, and his talks attract hundreds. I hope, if he comes back in 2006, he will include Sacramento on his itinerary.

Dr. Claus Nordbruch's visit in Sacramento will be featured in the next issue of Community News with many pictures.
